Celebrating the Work of Black Artists
As we celebrate Black History Month, it is important to recognize the contributions of black artists to the world of art and creativity. In the world of polymer clay, black artists have been breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries of what is possible with this versatile material. With their unique perspectives and styles, black artists are creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that are not only visually stunning, but also meaningful and impactful. This edition of the newsletter is a celebration of the work of black artists in polymer clay, and an ode to the rich history and culture that inspires their creations.

Black History Month is a month-long celebration that takes place in the United States and Canada every February. It was first established as "Negro History Week" in 1926 by historian and scholar Carter G. Woodson, and later expanded to a month-long observance in 1976. The purpose of Black History Month is to recognize and honor the contributions of black Americans to American history, culture, and society. It is a time to celebrate the achievements and accomplishments of black people throughout history, from the early days of slavery to the modern era of civil rights and beyond. The goal of Black History Month is to promote a greater understanding of black history and to encourage all people to learn about and appreciate the rich heritage of black Americans. By remembering and honoring the past, we can work to create a brighter future for all people.
In this edition, we are proud to showcase the work of some of the most talented black artists in polymer clay. From intricate designs to bold statements, these artists are pushing the limits of what can be created with this material. Whether you are a seasoned polymer clay enthusiast or just discovering this art form, we are sure you will be inspired by the creativity and passion that these artists bring to their work. By sharing their work, we hope to encourage others to explore their own creativity and embrace the beauty of black artistry in polymer clay.
